MIG/MAG welder/fitter – General

Hours
Full Time
Location
Noord-Brabant

As a MIG/MAG welder or structural metalworker, you will work at a metal company in the Netherlands. You earn €18.00 to €22.00 gross per hour, depending on your experience and the client. Do you need accommodation? We arrange that for you, always with your own bedroom. We first discuss your experience and wishes, including about the role, schedule and work environment, and introduce you to the client that suits you best.

Where you will work:

You will work for one company in the metal sector in the Netherlands. Think of steel construction companies, machine builders and construction workshops, ranging from medium-sized workshops to larger production companies. Here's how it works: we first discuss your experience and wishes, including your preferred role, schedule and work environment. Then we look at which client would be the best fit for you and introduce you to them. If you are hired, you start working there, with the goal of you staying long-term. The size of the team and who supervises you varies per client. You'll hear about that from us in advance.

What you will do:

Whether you primarily weld, primarily build constructions, or do both depends on your experience, your preferences, and what we can offer you. The exact tasks you perform depend on the client. Your work typically consists of the following:

  • You weld constructions and components using MIG/MAG, mostly in steel, sometimes in stainless steel or aluminium
  • You saw, cut, fit and drill sheet and profile material to size
  • You assemble components into constructions and secure them in place with tack welds
  • You adjust your welding equipment: current, wire speed and gas
  • You check dimensions and weld seams and finish them with the angle grinder
  • You work according to work instructions or technical drawings
