Where you will work:
You work for a family business in Oosterhout that makes furniture from metal and wood. Everything is produced in its own factory, from metal frame to finished table. The products go to customers in the Netherlands and abroad. The company falls under the CAO Metaal (collective labour agreement for the metal industry).
You join a varied production team with colleagues of different ages. You learn the work from experienced colleagues and alternate between metal, wood and order picking.
What you will do:
- You process metal tubes into frames for tables
- You mount tabletops onto the metal frames
- You operate a CNC machine that cuts wooden tabletops to size
- You lacquer wooden parts and check the finish
- You pick orders and prepare packages for shipping
- You check your work for quality and keep your workplace tidy
Practical:
- Location: Oosterhout (North Brabant)
- Schedule: day shift, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30, with a 30-minute break
- Start: as soon as possible
- Your work varies between metalworking, woodworking and order picking. No two days are the same
- Working conditions: you work standing in a production hall. Metalworking is noisy, woodworking creates dust and you smell paint when lacquering. You regularly lift frames and tabletops. You wear safety shoes and, where needed, hearing protection.
What we offer:
- €14.99 gross per hour at the start. Your wage goes up as you gain experience
- Need housing? Then we arrange it, always with your own bedroom. Your own contribution is deducted from your wage. Already have your own place to live? That works too
- 40 hours per week on day shifts, Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 16:30
- Contract through EU Force, with the intention of long-term employment. There is an opportunity for a permanent contract with the client, and room to grow
- Weekly pay
- At least 8% holiday allowance and at least 24 holiday days
- At least 23.4% premium on the pension base, of which you contribute 7.5% (deducted before tax)
- Health insurance through EU Force possible, the costs are deducted from your wage
- Travel allowance if you use your own transport. Transport through EU Force is also possible, for your own contribution
What we ask:
- In possession of an EU passport — a residence permit is not sufficient
- You speak English well enough to communicate clearly at work
- No experience needed: experienced colleagues train you
- You like working with your hands and want to learn new things
- You can work independently and also work well in a team
- You are available for 40 hours per week on day shifts
Nice to have:
- Experience in production, metalworking or woodworking
- Experience with a CNC machine or with lacquering
