Flame Cutter Field Service

Hours
Full Time
Location
Oosterhout
Salary
€ 17 - € 18

As a field service flame cutter, you drive a service van to construction sites in the Netherlands. On site, you cut steel foundation piles to size with a cutting torch. You earn €17 to €18 gross per hour, depending on your experience. Need housing? Then we arrange it, always with your own bedroom. Travel hours count as working hours and you are home every evening.

Where you will work:

You work for a technical company in foundation engineering. The company designs and builds its own foundation machines and provides technical service to contractors who build foundations.

You are the person who comes to the construction site when foundation piles need to be cut to size. You usually work independently or with one colleague. You get your schedule and assignments from the office, so every morning you know where you are going.

What you will do:
  • You drive the service van to customers' construction sites in the Netherlands
  • You measure the steel foundation piles in the construction pit and mark the correct height
  • You cut the piles to size with a cutting torch
  • You finish the cut edges with an angle grinder
  • You check that every pile is cut straight and at the correct height
  • You set up your torch set safely and keep your tools and service van in good order

Practical:

  • You work on construction sites all over the Netherlands
  • Monday to Friday, day shifts. You never stay overnight on location: after your working day, you drive back
  • Start date to be agreed
  • You work outdoors, in all weather, in construction pits with sand and mud. Expect smoke and sparks from cutting, noise, bending and kneeling, and lifting heavy material
  • You wear protective clothing, safety shoes and a helmet
What we offer:
  • €17 to €18 gross per hour, depending on your experience
  • Need housing? Then we arrange it, always with your own bedroom. Your own contribution is deducted from your wage. Already have your own place to live? That works too
  • 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, day shifts. Travel hours count as working hours
  • Contract via EU Force, with the intention of long-term employment, and weekly payment
  • At least 8% holiday pay and at least 24 holidays
  • At least 23.4% pension contribution on the pensionable salary, of which you contribute 7.5% (deducted before tax)
  • Health insurance via EU Force is possible, the costs are deducted from your wage
  • Own transport to the base location is preferred, with a travel allowance. Transport via EU Force is possible for your own contribution
What we ask:
  • You have experience with flame cutting and working with an angle grinder
  • You are handy with tools and work accurately to size
  • You have a category B driving licence
  • In possession of an EU passport — a residence permit is not sufficient
