Where you will work:

You will be working at a specialised technical laboratory in the Arnhem region that plays a key role in the energy transition. This facility tests and certifies electrical components — such as switchgear and transformers — before they are deployed in energy networks around the world.

The organisation works with advanced testing equipment and serves clients globally. Innovation is at its core: continuous investment in new technologies and testing methods ensures the facility stays ahead of the increasingly strict demands of the electrical industry.

It is an environment where technical craftsmanship is valued and where your work directly contributes to safe and reliable energy infrastructure — today and in the future.

What you will do:

As a Fitter / Electrical Technician, you are the hands-on force behind the test installations in the High Power Lab. You build and assemble complex electrical installations based on technical drawings and electrical schematics — work that requires precision, technical insight and a strong sense of responsibility.

You work closely with test engineers and fellow technicians during the preparation and execution of tests. You ensure every setup is safe, correctly connected and fully compliant with testing requirements. The work is varied: one day you are building a new test installation, the next you are carrying out inspections or modifying an existing setup.

Once every five weeks you will work a night shift, for which you receive an average allowance of 12% to 14% on all hours worked.

Responsibilities:

  • Building and assembling high- and medium-voltage test installations
  • Installing and connecting test circuits based on schematics and technical drawings
  • Assisting with the assembly, modification and dismantling of test setups
  • Performing maintenance and inspections on installations and test equipment
  • Collaborating with test engineers during the preparation and execution of tests
  • Ensuring all installations comply with technical and safety requirements
What we offer:

Financial conditions:

  • Gross hourly wage of €20.59 – €24.01 (including average night shift allowance of 12-14%, once every 5 weeks)
  • 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
  • Travel allowance of €0.23 per km

Other conditions:

  • Weekly payment
  • 25 vacation days per year (based on full-time)
  • Pension accrual: 23.4% of the pension base
  • Minimum 38 hours per week, with the possibility of overtime (up to 50 hours)

Extra services (optional):

  • Housing with private bedroom possible
  • Health insurance through EU Force possible
What we ask:
  • Technical education in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent hands-on work experience
  • Experience with electrical installations or industrial electrical systems
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
  • Practical, hands-on mindset with a strong focus on safety and precision
  • Good command of Dutch and/or English (spoken and written)
