Trailer Mechanic

Are you skilled with technology and do you want to work independently in a well-equipped workshop? For a company in Venlo, we are looking for a trailer mechanic who performs maintenance and repairs on trailers and semi-trailers. Permanent team, varied work and space to work independently.

You will be working at a technical company that focuses on the maintenance and repair of trailers and semi-trailers. Additionally, maintenance is also provided for vans and other light trucks. The workshop has good facilities, allowing mechanics to efficiently access all parts of a vehicle. This ensures skilled maintenance of various types of vehicles.

As a trailer mechanic, you perform maintenance and repairs on trailers and semi-trailers. You work independently, but also together with your colleagues. You diagnose and resolve malfunctions. You work with brakes, axles, suspension, and lighting. You also prepare trailers for inspection or assist during the inspection itself.

• Perform maintenance on trailers
• Diagnose and repair malfunctions
• Replace or repair brakes, axles, suspension, and lighting
• Repair damage
• Prepare trailers for inspection, or support inspections
• Work independently and in a team environment

• Gross hourly wage: € 17.80 - € 24.00 (depending on experience)
• 55-hour workweek, with working hours between 07:00 and 18:00 - plenty of room to earn extra
• Overtime after 18:00: 125% of your hourly wage
• Extra hours on Saturday possible, paid at your normal hourly rate
• 8% holiday allowance (paid weekly)
• Travel allowance of € 0.23 per km
• Weekly payment
• 25 vacation days per year
• Pension accrual of 23.4% of the pensionable salary

• Technical education, for example automotive engineering, commercial vehicle engineering, or mechanical engineering (diploma not always required with experience)
• Experience with tinkering on trucks, trailers, or other vehicles is a plus
• Knowledge of ABS/EBS, brake systems (air brakes), lighting and electrical systems, hydraulics and pneumatics, welding, and metalworking
• Driving license B; driving license C or CE is a bonus
• Flexible and meticulous
• Good command of the Dutch and/or English language  (speaking and writing)
