Technical Operator – Lacquering Line

Hours
Full Time
Location
Raamsdonksveer
Salary
€ 18 - € 20

Do you have an eye for color and flawless finishing, and do you like working independently on a modern production line? As a technical operator on the lacquering line, you decide whether the final product is good enough to ship. Technology, quality, and craftsmanship come together here.

Where you will work:

You'll join a production company in the wood processing industry, specialized in the high-quality finishing of panel material for the interior and construction sector. Finishing is the final stage of the production process: this is where it's decided whether a product meets the quality the customer expects. That makes your department a place where precision matters more than speed.

It's a down-to-earth, no-nonsense company. Short lines of communication, little meeting for the sake of meeting, and a lot of personal responsibility on the floor. You get your own department and the freedom to organize and run it your way. The machines are modern and the technical side of the process is serious work: you adjust, you convert, and you resolve disruptions yourself.

What the company is looking for is someone who stays. Not a stepping stone, but someone who truly masters the line and stands even stronger in it a few years from now.

What you will do:

As a technical operator on the lacquering line, you're responsible for the final finishing of the top layer. You apply the base lacquer coat, make sure the products are sanded, and then apply the final lacquer coats using a lacquer casting machine. You manage the drying process with a modern vertical drying oven and a UV dryer.

During the casting and drying process, you monitor the quality of the lacquers used and keep an eye on the machine parameters in relation to the result. If something deviates, you adjust it. At the end of the line, you carry out the final inspection: you assess the overall finish and the color, measure the gloss level with a gloss meter, and give your approval. Your judgment is the last word before the product goes to the customer.

You also run your department: keeping it clean and orderly, managing the stock of consumables, and detecting and resolving minor machine breakdowns yourself. The work has a steady rhythm, but no two orders are the same in terms of color and finish — so you stay sharp.
